Our recently approved foster carers
Marie and Chet are a couple who were celebrating after being approved as foster carers last month.
They were inspired to become foster carers because they feel they have a wealth of personal and professional experience that will support them on the foster care journey. Marie and Chet know they work well as a team and are very aware that there is a huge shortage of foster carers.
When first considering fostering they took their time researching different fostering agencies and Local Authorities. Marie and Chet have friends who foster, and a friend who manages a fostering agency, and they asked them for their advice. They chose New Routes because it’s a smaller agency with a family feel which offers excellent support. We are not too far away from their home, which will make it easy for them to travel to us for training and activities.
